In August 2000, Pittards were able to lend a helping hand to the British Paraplegic Rugby team in their quest for success at the Millennium Paraplegic Olympic games in Sydney.
The company was approached by the science and technology arm of the BBC to assist with the making of it's Dream Lives programme, a series highlighting the efforts of many individuals and companies to advance materials science to the practical benefit of others.
